Initial information on the OnePlus 12, most likely the brand’s upcoming flagship smartphone, has been leaked by Yogesh Brar. As a point of reference, OnePlus has previously launched ordinary and Pro models, but it has no plans to manufacture a OnePlus 11 Pro. Due to a “streamlining” of the flagship portfolio, the OnePlus 11T in the second half of 2023 falls under this description.
OnePlus 12
(Engineering config)– 6.7″ QHD OLED, 120Hz
– Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (SM8650)
– 50MP + 50MP (UW) + 64MP (periscope)
– 5,000mAh battery
– 100W chargingLaunch: December (China)

As a result, the OnePlus 12 is most likely to be the brand’s first device to have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU, also known as SM8650 by Qualcomm. While Qualcomm has not officially revealed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, early Genshin Impact benchmarks and comparisons for the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 have been posted online. According to Brar, OnePlus will add a 5,000 mAh battery to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 that enables 100 W cable charging, similar to the OnePlus 11’s non-US model.
It appears that OnePlus will use the OnePlus 11 and OnePlus 12’s superior cameras to set them apart. The OnePlus 12 will, according to the leaker, have 64 MP periscope and 50 MP ultra-wide-angle (UWA) cameras, which are enhancements from the 48 MP UWA and 32 MP telephoto cameras in the OnePlus 11. The OnePlus 12 is also rumored to have a 6.7-inch OLED display that runs at QHD and 120 Hz. In other words, rather than switching to a higher refresh rate like 144 Hz or 165 Hz, the OnePlus 12 is likely to match its predecessor in this aspect.

Brar emphasizes that every specification originates from a configuration in engineering. Therefore, between now and the time OnePlus starts mass manufacturing, some specifics may change. The leaker currently claims that OnePlus is planning to release the OnePlus 12 in December 2023; the specifics of a global launch are unknown at this time, though we wouldn’t be surprised if the company continued to release new flagships in January.
