Eddie Murphy "stole the show" at Tuesday night's Golden Globes with his reference to Will Smith's infamous Oscars meltdown. The 61-year-old "Beverly Hills Cop" star, who received the Cecil B. DeMille Award for "outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment," brought down the house by making a joke about Smith at the conclusion of his acceptance speech.
The funnyman ended his slightly somber speech by offering some advice for aspiring young performers after reflecting on his four-decade career.

Murphy calmly said, "I want to let you know that there is a definitive blueprint that you can follow to achieve success, prosperity, longevity, and peace of mind. There’s a blueprint, and I followed it my whole career. It’s very simple, it’s three things. You just do these three things: Pay your taxes. Mind your business … And keep Will Smith’s wife’s name out of your f- -king mouth!”
Additionally, when giving his final piece of advice, Murphy raised his voice, emulating Smith's on-stage outburst that dominated last year’s Academy Awards. At that event, Chris Rock, a comedian, had made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith's alopecia when the "Men in Black" actor stormed the stage and smacked him.

What's more
After Eddie Murphy made the joke, celebrities were seen in fits of laughter and gave the actor a standing ovation as he exited the stage.
Similarly, Twitter users were left in hysterics, with one admirer gushing: "Eddie Murphy would be the only person to make a Will Smith joke that was actually funny.”
"Eddie stole the show. A legend forever," wrote another fan.
On another note, Murphy wasn't the only person to make a reference to Smith's smack at the Golden Globes. During the program, host Jerrod Carmichael joked, "While we were on commercial, we actually presented Will Smith with the Rock Hudson award for best portrayal of masculinity on television, so please give it up for Will Smith. Please! Please!”
