The billionaire tweeted a poll in 2022 asking people if they thought he should step down as CEO of Twitter. The final vote result was 57.5% in favor and 42.5% against. Elon Musk kept his promise, even though it took months.
Yaccarino resigned from her post as NBCUniversal’s head of advertising on Friday, May 12, according to the most recent report.
Through an official tweet, Elon Musk announced the new Twitter CEO’s arrival. The billionaire stated, “I am thrilled to welcome Linda Yaccarino as the new CEO of Twitter.
Linda would concentrate on overseeing daily operations, he added. She will also be in charge of new product designs and technological advancements in social media.
“Looking forward to working with Linda to transform this platform into X, the everything app,” Musk continued.
Over 14 million views, 100,000 likes, and 14,000 retweets were generated by his unexpected Twitter revelation.
