Elon Musk claims that SpaceX is now planning to launch the Starship in late April

Following an earlier tweet from Musk confirming that the vehicle was stacked and "ready to launch" from SpaceX's Starbase facility in Boca Chica, Texas, there had been hopes that the test flight of the world's most powerful rocket — comprising the Super Heavy booster and second-stage Starship — might take place as early as this week. Yet the business cannot launch the rocket unless it has a launch authorization from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Even yet, the FAA noted that it has yet to decide on the launch permission, so the timing may still change. The Starship's launch on or around April 20th, if Musk is correct, should be a breathtaking sight. This is due to the fact that as the 120-meter-tall Super Heavy blasts off, its 33 Raptor 2 engines will be packing a whopping 17 million pounds of thrust. That is twice as much thrust as NASA's Space Launch System (SLS), the most potent rocket in use right now. SLS launched on its first mission five months ago. Astronauts will be sent to the moon, Mars, and even beyond using the reusable vehicle after the Super Heavy launcher and Starship spaceship have undergone extensive testing and received certification for crewed flights. On the upcoming 2025 Artemis III mission, NASA and SpaceX have already decided to utilize a modified version of the Starship to land men on the moon. The Starship will also be used to take Japanese billionaire entrepreneur Yusaku Maezawa and eight passengers on a flyby of the moon. With the Starship's first orbital trip, there is much to look forward to. And now that it has been in development for a very long time, it seems as though it is poised to take off.
