Elon Musk says that Sam Bankman-Fried does not own any shares of the now-private Twitter company, despite speculations to the contrary.  Musk's response when asked whether SBF or FTX owned any Twitter shares led to the clarification. Musk has been outspoken about the media and stated that the ownership of the news organization Semafor by SBF creates a significant conflict of interest with regard to reporting.  Ben Smith, the editor-in-chief of Semafor, said that they got an investment from him "like you and many others" when the news source enquired "what's going on here." Every time they write about the CEO of Twitter, according to Smith, they also reveal it.

How Much of You Does SBF Own? was disputed by Musk?

Musk maintained that the article is false and that "Twitter nor I have taken any investment from SBF/FTX." How much of you do SBF possess, he continued. SBF or FTX "Certainly Does Not" Own Any Shares in the Now-Private Company, according to Twitter's CEO. While asked if SBF or FTX had any shares in Twitter, the new Twitter CEO said, "No," adding that while they may have done so when Twitter was a publicly traded company, they "definitely do not" own any shares in the firm now that it is private. Another Twitter user named Kara Swisher tweeted the article about SBF and Elon Musk's "secret text" in another thread, adding, "Of course, Elon Took the * and then Dunked on SBF." The CEO of Twitter said that they previously cared about the truth, but that period is "far gone." Musk emphasized that the article failed to disclose how many of them SBF owns. As stated in the story, Musk responded, "I did not take the money, when questioned directly about it. There are no Twitter shares owned by SBF/FTX. The publisher of the piece, Semafor, he said, had taken the funds. Musk also noted that the article failed to mention how much of them SBF actually owns. Only those Kara Swisher was following or mentioning were able to respond, which constrained the dialogue. Elon Musk requests a "general amnesty" for suspended Twitter accounts, revealing that it contains secrets.
