Elon Musk Updates the Timeline for Starship to Finally Launch into Space

Elon Musk believes the first orbital flight of Starship could occur as soon as next month. It's been over a year and a half since we saw a SpaceX Starship prototype fly. We have a serious chance in late February. A March launch initiative appears pretty likely, he wrote on Twitter. It will make its first successful landing attempt in Florida on May 5, 2021. After separation, Super Heavy will return to a platform in the Gulf of Mexico for a landing. The starship would take off for a short trip to orbit before splashing down in the Pacific. The flight plan has been delayed multiple times, owing primarily to the FAA's approval process for a launch license. A federal agency has paved the way for the task to proceed, but changes to the launch plan are required. Boeing is continuing to work to prepare Super Heavy for its first launch. The company has yet to receive its FAA launch permit as it works through the necessary changes while continuing to produce and test Raptor engines. Since June 2022, when the FAA announced that the next Starship flight has been only a month or two away, this new update continues that trend. SpaceX is just not the only one who wants to see Starship fly again. NASA has chosen it as one of the vehicles that will fly to the moon as part of the Artemis program, which aims to return astronauts to the moon's surface this decade.
