iPad Pro, iPad Mini, and iPad Air have switched to USB-C charging while the primary level iPads have lagged till the ninth generation iPad that was released last year.
On Tuesday, Apple announced the iPad which is more in line with the current trend and with an enhanced price too. The 10th gen iPad looks similar to the 5th and 6th gen iPad Air with square edges, corners being rounded, and the display is 10.9 inches.
The 10 gen iPad has a USB-C port at the bottom for charging with an A14 bionic chipset which powered iPhone 12 and iPad Air and it comes in yellow and red colors. EU’s vote to mandate USB-C charging on electronic goods begins in 2024, making it inexorable for Apple to adapt the same.

The new device comes with some good features like TouchID located on the side of the Tabs power button, a centered selfie camera during landscape orientation, and a planned layout for video calls. The keyboard too is redesigned which looks a lot like Samsung Galaxy tabs.
It is compatible with only the First Gen Apple Pencil which self-charging with lightning by sticking into the port of the paired iPad but will not be possible for the new device. The company is providing a charging dongle to plug into the USB-C port tenth gen iPad as it lacks the magnetic charging pad.
The all-new iPad comes at a whopping $450 which is reasonable considering the upgrades. For Apple consumers, it is a bit difficult to digest as the ninth gen iPad was available for $330.
The company states that they will sell the ninth gen iPad along with tenth gen iPad. You can preorder the new iPad now and from October 26th will be available in retail stores.
