Two characters modeled after the late Queen Elizabeth II and then-Prince Charles will no longer be in Fallout: London, an ambitious mod for Fallout 4 set in everyone's favorite post-apocalyptic hellscape.
Initially made on Twitter on September 8th, shortly after the Queen's passing, the change was formally confirmed by the team's project lead Dean Carter during a recent development update.
We have consistently stated that we would change the modification if she were to die away before it was finished, Carter added. "Don't anticipate them to be there.
Asking in the comments is useless. It serves no purpose to whine. It is the mod's official position, and it won't change.
In concept art for the two characters, Queen Elizabeth II is depicted as being undead and flanked by two deadly corgis, while King Charles III appears to be dressed in a morning suit and a crown or top hat.
Technically speaking, both royals had to have passed away prior to the mod's year 2237 set.
However, it may be considered to be in poor taste to use a recently deceased woman as a "ghoul," so you can see why a tiny team of devs might wish to avoid stirring up any unwarranted controversy.
Even if these particular characters won't be appearing, it appears that the team has other characters in mind to take their place.
During the update video, Carter made no specific comments, saying only that we should "wait and see" what the team comes up with.
