Amazon is about to increase the price of one of its Amazon Music Unlimited membership levels, following Apple, which has just increased the cost of Apple Music and Apple TV+ subscriptions in the US and UK. You should be aware that a price increase is coming if you now subscribe to the Amazon Music Unlimited Family Plan or are considering signing up in the next few days or weeks. And starting on November 8th, the increase will be implemented in a variety of various countries around the world. Families are about to pay more for Apple Music and Amazon Music Unlimited There are a few pages on Amazon that explain how things are evolving in the UK, US, Australia, and other countries (opens in new tab). The Family Plan will now cost £16.99/ $15.99/ AU$18.99 per month, up from £14.99/ $14.99/ AU$17.99 as of the eighth of the following month. The cost of a family subscription to the music streaming service has increased to £169 from $159 annually. The price increases elsewhere range from $1 to $3 in South America and from €0.50 to €4 in Europe, with some of the largest increases occurring in Uruguay, Finland, and Iceland. Strangely, the European rises start to take effect a day later, on November 11. Families are about to pay more for Apple Music and Amazon Music Unlimited Amazon states at the top of the page that it is "updating" the prices "to help us bring you even more content and services," so maybe the streaming service will soon gain more value. When Amazon raised the price of Amazon Music for Prime subscribers back in April, it only applied to the Individual plan and the Single Device plan, which lets you access the service on a single Amazon Echo or Echo Dot wireless speaker. At the time, there was no mention of any modifications to the Family Plan, but it appears that will all change in the coming weeks.
