Family used Find My iPhone to locate the woman who crashed 200 feet below highway

Using the Find My iPhone feature, a woman who went missing after leaving a Christmas celebration with family was found 200 feet below Highway 18 in a mountainous area north of San Bernardino, according to fire officials. After departing her family's Christmas Day event, the unidentified woman is thought to have crashed sometime overnight. Hours passed before the accident was reported, and the woman was still inside the car, hidden from oncoming traffic. Her family started to worry on Monday, San Bernardino County Fire officials wrote in a Facebook post, when they couldn't reach her the following morning. According to fire officials, her relatives used the Find My iPhone feature to locate her, which eventually took them to Highway 18, just north of 40th Street, close to the San Bernardino neighbourhood of North Park. Relatives contacted 911 for assistance as soon as they discovered the car in the bushes. When paramedic teams arrived at the scene, they discovered the car to be on its side. The woman was raised to the road by firefighters using urban search and rescue tools, where she was then transported to a local trauma centre by ambulance. According to fire officials, the woman inside had significant wounds. Her condition wasn't recognized right away.
