LG has unveiled a 27-inch OLED display for PC gamers that supports G-Sync, has a 240Hz refresh rate, and has a blink-and-you'll-miss-it 0.03ms reaction time. Over the years, we've seen a lot of OLED gaming monitors, but none with the screen size that the majority of PC gamers truly want. But now it's here: a 27-inch OLED monitor, one of the most eagerly awaited new monitors for 2019. The LG UltraGear 27GR95QE, which builds on LG's current lineup of OLED-based gaming monitors and televisions, is known by its official name. [caption id="attachment_64761" align="aligncenter" width="1200"]OLED Gaming Monitor Image credit: LG[/caption] The 27GR95QE will have a 2560 x 1400 (QHD) resolution at a 16:9 aspect ratio, a 240Hz maximum response rate, and a 0.03ms reaction time. It will also have little trouble exercising its OLED muscles with capabilities like 1.07 billion color depth, 98.5% DCI-P3 compatibility, and a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1. Oddly, the product page doesn't list the panel's brightness. Instead, a placeholder reading "to be determined" is present. We'll be very curious to see how bright this device gets in order to evaluate HDR functionality. Of course, RGB ambient lighting is a requirement for a gaming monitor. Around the back panel of the LG, lights are arranged in a double chevron pattern. Additionally, we appreciate the compatibility with AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync, as well as the support for 10-bit HDR. The display may be rotated from -10 to 10 degrees and tilted from -5 to 15 degrees. There are one DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI, one USB 3.0 upstream, two USB 3.0 downstream, a TOSLINK jack, and one TRRS jack among the unit's interfaces. This display, which has a $1,000 suggested retail price, might work nicely with your RTX 4090-powered computer. Since information regarding this monitor is currently scarce, hopefully we'll hear more about it shortly.
