Finding Leakers: Disney appeals to Google and Reddit to reveal who leaked ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’

Marvel Takes Legal Action Against Reddit Group Post Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania’s Script Leak ( Photo Credit – Movie Still ; Wikipedia ) Disney is entwined with a drama, and no, it is not on the screen for once. Roughly a month before the film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was set to release, a Google Doc containing 63 pages of the dialogue transcript appeared on Reddit. The Google Doc was leaked by a user named MSSmods and now Disney has asked both Google and Reddit to help find the leakers of the dialogue script. As reported by TorrentFreak, Disney’s MVL Film Finance unit has filed two Digital Millennium Copyright Act subpoenas to coerce Reddit and Google to “identify an alleged infringer or infringer.” Marvel wants Google to look for “all identifying information” related to the leakers, “including without limitation, the name(s), username(s), address(es), telephone number(s), email address(es); any IP address(es) used by such user(s); and any account number(s) associated with such user(s).” Moreover, MSSmods is an account that is shared among the moderators of r/MarvelStiosSpoilers, it would mean identifying more than one person. Reddit did not yet declare if it intends to comply with the request. “Reddit is committed to protecting our users’ privacy. We have rigorous processes in place to assess legal requests and object when appropriate,” stated a Reddit spokesperson.
