How it Works

It is powered by a 200-Wh lithium battery, which should last for roughly 30 ice-cube cycles after a three-hour charge. Except when a smaller number is selected, each cycle results in 12 ice cubes. Speaking of which, the Evo Icer has three output modes:

• Quick, which makes 12 cubes in only five minutes
• Cup, which only makes a certain amount of cubes and
• Eco, which favors low power use above quick ice production.

Flextail claims that the 70-watt motor and compressor included in the Evo Icer are "smaller and more efficient" than those found in other ice makers. Additionally, the Evo Icer has a sizable cooling fan and three air inlets for heat dissipation. Additionally, R290, a green refrigerant, is incorporated. Other features include the ability to charge other electronic devices like cellphones, low water/full ice bin indicators, and one-click cleaning and draining.
