This father received a reprimand. A Florida father has come under fire for allowing his teenage daughters to attend a high school homecoming ceremony in "inappropriate" and "provocative" gowns. Matt Austin, the anchor for News 6 Orlando, posted a picture of himself and his two daughters cuddling up on Facebook earlier this month before they left for the event.Matt Austin & daughters “My daughters look a little too good on homecoming night,” the proud dad wrote beneath snaps of his girls in the scanty outfits. “Believe it or not, they’re even more beautiful on the inside.” Austin — who boasts a large social media following — was immediately inundated with comments from fans who claimed the dresses were not appropriate for the girls to wear. “Sad that parents think it’s ok to send the young ladies out with everything showing,” one stated.Matt Austin & daughters Austin did not disclose the exact ages of his daughters but later stated one is in her senior year, while the other is a freshman. Another critic wrote: "I don't think I would be dressed like that around my father and he would be happy with that, it's weird!" as the criticism of the father began to mount. A third person then added, "I have two grown and married daughters. These costumes are inappropriate for a prom; single women who want to get laid go out in clubs wearing them. Austin, however, wasn't going to take the criticism lying down. He took to TikTok to tell his detractors to "butt out of his business" and referred to them as "Karens."

The celebrity parent advised critics to raise responsible lads who wouldn't ogle their female peers in a video that has received more than 5 million views. “It’s your job to not raise a pervert with no self-control,” he barked. Austin joked that he’d rather his daughters wear blankets with sleeves all day, every day, but insisted he wasn’t in the position to police their ensembles. “Now let’s be clear, those outfits are not the ones I would choose for my daughters to leave the house. If it were up to me, it would be 24/7 snuggies,” he declared. “But if I start dictating what my daughters wear, I’m going to teach them three things: A. They’ll start to hate me for arbitrary rules. B. They’ll start to lie to me, or C. Maybe even worse, that it’s okay for a man to tell them what to wear because they look too good, and that ain’t happening, Karen.”
