Ford has announced that it is cutting the price of its Mustang Mach-E electric SUV while also improving its range. The move is aimed at making the Mach-E more accessible to a wider audience and more competitive in the rapidly growing electric SUV market. Here’s what you need to know about the updated Mustang Mach-E.
Price Cut
The Mach-E is now available at a starting price of $42,895, which is a $4,000 reduction from its previous starting price. This price cut applies to the entry-level Select model, which comes with a rear-wheel-drive setup and a 75.7-kWh battery pack.
Ford has also cut the prices of the Premium and California Route 1 models by $3,000 each. The top-of-the-line GT model, however, has seen a slight price increase of $500 due to increased demand.
Improved Range
In addition to the price cut, Ford has also improved the range of the Mach-E. The entry-level Select model now has an EPA-estimated range of 280 miles on a single charge, which is a 20-mile improvement from its previous range. The Premium and California Route 1 models now have an estimated range of 300 miles, while the GT model has an estimated range of 250 miles.
Other Changes
Along with the price cut and improved range, Ford has also made some other changes to the Mach-E lineup. The company has added a new color option called Infinite Blue Metallic, and it has also made the 360-degree camera system and heated front seats standard on all models.
Ford has also announced that it is simplifying the Mach-E lineup by eliminating some of the previously available options and packages. This move is aimed at making it easier for customers to choose the right Mach-E model for their needs.
