The alleged event is believed to have occurred on Sunday, February 20, at around 8 p.m. at St. Kilda's Hotel Esplanade, also referred to as the "Espy" by locals. The officials haven't disclosed many details regarding the incident. The actor and model is expected to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court in January 2023, according to court records. Along with his 940 appearances in "Neighbours," McGregor has also demonstrated his acting prowess in a number of daytime dramas, such as "Underbelly," "Offspring," and "Winners & Losers." Speaking of his personal life, the Australian television personality lives in the exclusive Melbourne neighbourhood of Brighton East with his wife of three years, Bianka Voigt, and their two daughters.

The actor is a frequent user of social media and frequently posts images of his luxurious lifestyle, which includes outings to the beach with his young family, golfing, and home upgrades. McGregor has been involved in legal disputes before, however, this is not his first. McGregor experienced a glassing incident in 2019 when exotic dancer Danielle "Ivy" Lee struck him with a glass "in a fit of rage." At the Hollywood Showgirls club, a piece of glass struck him in the face, causing a small cut that required three stitches. Lee pled not guilty to assault causing bodily harm and said that when she approached McGregor at the club, he verbally assaulted her. Before asking her to "f*** off," she said McGregor told her he was there for a night out with friends." "F*** off, you disgusting s**t," he yelled. You are a complete jerk. As filthy as you are, I would never take you "According to DailyMail, she told the court. David Funch, a defence attorney, testified before the court that McGregor "acted like a pig against Ms. Lee." While McGregor did attack and insult Lee, Magistrate Mark Howden determined that her response was excessive. Before releasing her on a $1,000 good behaviour bond, the judge found her guilty. Despite being ordered to pay McGregor's $80 in hospital bills, she was not found guilty.
