Fresh Lockdown in China as COVID Returns After Holiday Season

China is one of the few countries still struggling with CoVid 19 disease and has taken very strict measures to keep a check on it by imposing lockdowns and restrictions on travel. The lockdown was imposed on Monday as a CoVid positive person was traced in Fenyang city in Shanxi Province located in northern China reported by CCTV. Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia announced that outsiders will not be allowed inside the city. The capital city has recorded 2000 cases in just 12 days. Lockdown In China

The ruling political party wants to portray a positive image in the upcoming meeting. Authorities discouraged people from traveling during the yearly National Day holiday, October 1st due to which travelers did not venture out. Despite these measures, the numbers are not reducing but have shot up from 600 to 1800. The restrictions have taken a toll on small-time business people and workers. The people are hoping restrictions will be lenient once the meeting is over. The whole country seems to be fighting the disease but more in Inner Mongolia and west of Xinjiang with almost 100 cases per day. Lockdown In China

Shanghai and Beijing saw an extended duration of lockdown and now have a small number of positive cases but seem to be growing. Last week, two districts in Shanghai announced shutting down the cinema and entertainment places. Testing for viruses weekly or more times has become a norm for the country’s residents. Beijing and some other cities have made a rule to produce a negative test certificate of 72 hours to enter a park, public places, shops, etc.
