Samsung will finally reveal the Galaxy S23 series, its new flagship smartphone, early next year, with upgrades over the Galaxy S22 series of 2022. Normally, with flagship phones as great as they are now, Samsung doesn't have much to do to entice customers to purchase the new handsets. The Galaxy S23 lineup will primarily appeal to those who own a Galaxy S21 Ultra or an older flagship. One of the most significant changes is the switch from a 108MP to a 200MP main camera, which may turn out to be useless. The new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip is predicted to power the phone in almost all global markets. In most parts of the world, Samsung used the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip in the Galaxy S22 series. It was produced by Samsung's foundries rather than TSMC, so it did not reach its full potential. The chip wasn't quite as good as we had anticipated because it was manufactured by Samsung instead of TSMC. When bound to do some heavy lifting, they also perform well and possess good thermals. The TSMC-made Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, which powered 2022's Galaxy foldable, demonstrated the chip's true capabilities. According to rumors, the Snapdragon chip will be used in Samsung's upcoming smartphones. This should mean that European customers will not have to deal with the issues that hampered the S22 lineup. Until Samsung's rumored in-house Exynos chip arrives, the Korean conglomerate should cling to Qualcomm's Snapdragon chips and have them manufactured by TSMC. Samsung currently lags behind in both producing its own smartphone chips and manufacturing them for others. It may also be time for the company to embrace its flaws.
