Game Pass & Luna Games Are Now Accessible Through Google Search

The most recent addition to Google Search allows users to start games directly from search results. For games that are on a supported cloud gaming service, the "Play Now" option will show up on desktop and mobile devices. Through our own testing today, this choice appeared for games like Halo Infinite, which is available on Xbox Game Pass, as well as Control: Ultimate Edition, which is only available through Amazon Luna. The choice to play a game on either service will appear if it's available on both like Windjammers 2 is. On desktop, the Play Now area can be found on the right side of the search results, immediately beneath the game title and featured photos. We had to navigate through the area titled "People also ask" on mobile. There are many search results, and you can discover the Play Now option in the People also search for section. When we clicked on it, we were taken to the respective game's Xbox Game Pass or Amazon Luna page, where we could launch it and begin playing. xbox game pass Given that its release is a little too late to help Google's exclusive cloud gaming service, it is a bit of an uncomfortable inclusion. Google Stadia was used in earlier tests for this feature, but it was absent from our own testing with Stadia-compatible games like Doom Eternal. This is most likely due to Google's announcement that Stadia will be discontinued in January 2023. That is unfortunate because a feature like this would have significantly increased awareness of the faltering cloud gaming platform. It won't draw users to Google's own cloud gaming service, but it's still a useful addition for those looking for games that are part of subscription services like Xbox Game Pass or Amazon Luna. Google claims that everyone in the US who uses Google Search on a desktop or mobile device should now have access to this capability.
