Gamers Alert! 30 million units of the PS5 were sold by Sony

On January 4, Sony revealed the sales milestone, which translates to at least 10.7 million PlayStation 5 units having been distributed to various outlets, during a display at CES 2023. Shipment volumes are typically higher than actual sales.
This indicates that the electronics giant sold more over 30 million PS5 units globally, up 5 million sales from the most recent sales data reported last year.
The company has to locate up to 7.3 million units in shipping sales with little under three months left in the year to reach its yearly goal of 18 million units. According to a report by
Video Game Chronicles, it adhered to this number in its most current sales numbers, which were released in November of last year.

In his keynote speech at CES on January 4, Sony President Jim Ryan asserted that December 2022 was the PS5's biggest sales month to date. This is probably because the PS5 is now more widely accessible and more people can buy one.

Sony has already stated that it will ship 23 million PlayStation 5 consoles in the upcoming fiscal year, which starts in April 2023. This will put the PS5 ahead of the PS4 at the same point in its lifespan.

The electronics giant claimed in November of the year before that it had shipped 3.3 million PS5 consoles in the three months ending September. 30, 2022. (second quarter). This was the same quantity that had been sent during the same time period the previous year.
Sony stated that PS5 sales were on track and that the company was confident it could still meet its 18 million unit sales target during the results call. The second quarter alone saw the production of 6.5 million game consoles, according to corporate estimates.
