MSI hasn't yet mentioned the cost or availability of the product. There is no doubt that this display won't be inexpensive, so get ready if you ever want to purchase one. You'll need one of the best GPUs to get the most out of this beast in addition to the (presumably hefty) cost of the monitor. While LG has recently released the prices and release dates for two intriguing screens of its own, MSI's announcement was hardly more than a brief teaser. [caption id="attachment_66416" align="aligncenter" width="1200"] Image credit: rockpapershotgun[/caption] The 45-inch OLED LG UltraGear 45GR95QE was first introduced at IFA this year. This display is curved and boasts a 240Hz refresh rate, just like MSI's forthcoming model. However, with a 21:9 aspect ratio and 3,440 x 1,440 QHD resolution, it is more of a conventional ultrawide. Both AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync will be supported. LG is also introducing a 27-inch UltraGear OLED with a flat screen in addition to the 45-inch variant. Beginning on December 12, both displays will be up for preorder. Shipping will commence on December 28 or later. The 27-inch model will cost $999, but it should come as no surprise that the 45-inch monitor is much more expensive. If you want to purchase that model, be prepared to pay $1,699 for it. This provides us a fair sense of the potential price of the future MSI display; it most likely won't be less expensive than the new LG.The world's FIRST super ultra-wide curved gaming monitor, with a 240Hz QD-OLED panel, is out there to ensure you enjoy a viewing experience far better than anything you’ve had before.
