Skullcandy has resumed selling gaming headsets after what seems like an eternity. Recently, Skullcandy introduced three new
Gaming headphones with excellent functionality and budget-friendly rates. It's crucial to avoid getting mixed up by the terms SLYR Pro and PLYR. All of them are cross-platform, but that's okay.
Skullcandy's PLYR headset is the line's centerpiece item. In exchange for its $130 price tag, users get Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, customized sound (through an automated setup process), a noise-canceling microphone, essential volume and mute settings, a headband with adjustable tension, and Tile tracking. Oh, and PLYR has a battery life of 24 hours.
Gaming Headset PLYR Multi-Platform Wireless — $130 $100 SLYR Pro Multi-Platform Wired Headset for Gaming $60 for the SLYR Multi-Platform Wired Gaming Headset Skullcandy's SLYR Pro Wired is the middle child despite the "Pro" designation. Most of the functionality in the PLYR headset is present in this $100 device. The only elements lacking are wireless networking and an extra-adjustable helmet. One peculiarity is that a rechargeable battery powers the SLYR Pro's noise-canceling system and built-in hearing test.
The Skullcandy SLYR Wired, which costs about $60, is another affordable option. The corded headset lacks modern features like a hearing test or a noise-canceling microphone. However, it does have a bidirectional microphone and audio tuning. For casual players, this is a fantastic offer.
The new Skullcandy Gaming Headsets are currently for sale on the corporate website. The brand Skullcandy is well-known among adult and casual gamers. I'm interested to see how these headsets stack against Turtle Beaches.
