Google Play Store to show ads where we don't want to see them

A Google Play Store update in which ads appear when you open the search bar is reportedly in testing. According to 9To5Google, the firm is considering substituting recent history with ads. The change was discovered on a device running Play Store version 33.0.17-21. For most users, the search function's current default behavior is that when activated, the four most recent searches appear as recommendations in the Android app space. Ads are now displayed in the App Store's 'Today' tab, along with recommendations within each app's listing, as indicated by a 'Ad' icon with a blue background. The modification could be part of the most recent Play Store update - version 33.0.17-21.
