In light of the impending closure of the game streaming service, Google will start giving refunds to Google Stadia users. The tech behemoth from Silicon Valley announced on Stadia's support page that, as of November 9, it will automatically try to process refunds for all purchases, including games, DLC, hardware like the Stadia controller, and subscription costs other than Stadia Pro. One email notification of a refund will be sent for each transaction to Stadia customers who made fewer than 20 purchases. Customers who have made 21 or more purchases through Stadia will receive a single email that summarizes all of the refund efforts and includes any further steps that may be necessary to finish the refund. Stadia Customers To Get Refunds Refunds will be made using the original payment method that was used to pay for the games or other Stadia products. If you receive an email stating that a refund has been processed but the payment method you used is no longer valid and you haven't received instructions, Google advises getting in touch with your bank or credit card provider to discuss how to claim the refund. The email associated with the destroyed account, the date of your most recent transaction, and the price you paid must be provided to Stadia Customer Service if you removed your Google account and the issue persists. Stadia Customers To Get Refunds Google said on September 29 that Stadia would shut down on January 18, 2023, citing Stadia Vice President Phil Harrison's argument that the platform had not attracted enough users since its introduction in 2019. Between now and mid-January, players can continue to use their Stadia controllers and access their game collection. The majority of reimbursements will have been handled by January 18, when Stadia's servers will shut down, according to Google, which has advised users against getting in touch with customer service to hasten their refund. To trace your refund, go to Google's payment page.
