Google has invited the press to a future hardware event where the Pixel 8, the latest version of its flagship Android phone, is likely to be shown off. On October 4, the show will take place in New York. Google may also update its Pixel Watch smartwatch at the same time as the Pixel 8. Both devices are said to have faster processing.
Features Of Google Pixel 8
The Pixel 8 will come in two versions: a regular one and a Pixel 8 Pro that costs more.
The screen on the regular version is said to be 6.16 inches, while the screen on the Pro version will be 6.7 inches and have a slightly higher resolution.
Recent leaks say that both devices will be powered by an improved version of Google’s Tensor G2 smartphone processor based on Samsung’s Exynos system-on-chip (SOC) technology.
The Pixel 8 Pro is likely to have a major camera upgrade, such as a main camera with 50 megapixels that can take in 50% more light than the one it replaces. The ultrawide lens on the phone is also thought to have greatly improved its sharpness.
Google will add new photography software to go with the hardware changes. This includes Adaptive Torch, which adjusts the camera flash based on the room’s light, and Staggered HDR, which reduces blur in photos caused by motion.
Another Device Is Expected To Launch
The Pixel Watch 2 is also likely to be shown off at the event. Reports say that the smartwatch will have sensors that can measure stress and the temperature of the skin. The sensors will be run by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Plus chip, which is better than its predecessor in terms of speed and battery life. The Pixel Watch 2 will go up against other trackers, such as the Fitbit Sense 2.
Google To End Pixel Pass
Aside from the news, it’s been said that Google has stopped the Pixel Pass subscription pass before the new phones come out. Along with the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, the Pixel Pass was launched in 2021. With this membership, pixel phone users could pay one monthly fee for YouTube Premium, Google One, and Google Play Pass.
On the other hand, people who already have Pixel Pass will be able to use it until the end of its time. Those who buy Pixel devices won’t be able to buy the subscription plan longer.
