Google's AI Going to Prepare You for Your Next Interview

Jake Peter who is a senior tech editor for LifeHacker is of the opinion that Google is the first place to go when you are preparing yourself for a job interview. Google’s search engine allows you to learn about the prospective company, and classes on questions make you feel prepared for the upcoming interview. Google is taking this a notch up by introducing another tool exclusively for interviews that are powered by AI.

Interview warm-up

This program is simple to use but effective and can be used to practice interview questions for different jobs. It offers six types of jobs, IT support, Data analytics, E-commerce, UX design, and project management. And in case none of these match your requirement, there is another category, General. Google’s AI All of the programs provide the same experience. An AI-assisted trainer will take your interview to help you answer effectively. You will be given five questions and you can respond through your voice or keyboard. Once done, the AI scans your answers and focuses on three areas, job-related terms, talking points, and most used words.

AI Strengthens Your Skills

Interview Warmup selects words that you used for the job for which you are applying. You can select the option See all terms to look for job-associated terms and if you feel anything is of importance, store them in the memory. Repetitive words are not bad, more so if they are related to the job but it is necessary to go through to check if you have repeated the same words over and over. Most used words are an important tool that shows the terms which have been overused. Google’s AI Interview Warmup checks your answers to see which category it fits, experience, goals, interest, skills, and lessons learned. There are examples provided for each category and include them in your responses.  Once you have gone through all five questions, all responses can be reviewed at once, and look into the interview from a zoomed-out angle. You can repeat this to work on your skills. Though the program gives only five questions, there are more stored in it.
  • Data Analytics has 66 questions
  • UX Design has 50 questions
  • IT Support has 41 questions
  • E-Commerce has 49 questions
  • Project Management has 42 questions
  • General has 14 questions
