Gravity SUV will be Lucid's next electric vehicle

The newest automaker to display a three-row electric SUV is Lucid. The Gravity, Lucid's newest electric vehicle, was unveiled on Tuesday in the late afternoon. Since the prototype has been spotted undergoing testing in California, we have known for some time that the Saudi-funded EV firm was developing an SUV to complement its high-end sedan, the Air. It's now official, though. "Gravity expands on what we have accomplished so far, driving additional technological developments of our own to produce a luxury performance SUV that is unmatched. Gravity will have an influence on the world of luxury SUVs, redefining the category in the same way that Lucid Air did for sedans and establishing new standards elsewhere, "said Peter Rawlinson, CEO and CTO of Lucid. Although the pricing of the new EV is unknown, given how much the Lucid Air car costs, it wouldn't be unrealistic to anticipate that the debut edition will cost around $200,000. The business will begin accepting deposits the following year. In the years before the release of the Air, Lucid promised a single-motor version with a far more accessible $60,000 price tag as a way to increase its public profile. Since then, it has continued to expand its line of Airs, which is now topped by the $249,000 Air Sapphire. Later in 2022, the all-wheel drive $92,900 Air Pure goes into production. With 18 modules instead of 22, it has a smaller battery pack than other Airs, giving the single-motor version of the vehicle an EPA range of 410 miles (660 km). The $107,400 Air Touring, which gets 425 miles from the 18-module battery pack and averages a reasonable 4.6 miles/kWh (13.5 kWh/100 km), has already begun customer deliveries, according to Lucid. It also decreased the drag coefficient for all Air models throughout the development of the Touring, bringing it to 0.197
