The greatest leak in the gaming business, the GTA6 leak, made headlines last week. The shocking news shocked Rockstar Games as well as the eagerly awaiting gamers. A youngster from the UK was detained on Thursday, September 22 on suspicion of hacking and disclosing the game. Over 90 GTA 6 videos and screens leaked online over the weekend as a result of the recent Rockstar Games breach. The 17-year-old, who can only be identified by the initials A.K. due to legal restrictions, was "arrested in Oxfordshire for the cyber attack on Rockstar and Uber," according to a tweet from journalist Matthew Keys. However, the police have not publicly confirmed that the arrest is connected to Rockstar's security breach. He added that the juvenile who was detained earlier this year for hacking Nvidia and Microsoft was the same one. GTA 6 Hacker Arrested in London Two counts of computer crimes and two counts of bail violation have been brought against the adolescent. He is also allegedly linked to the notorious hacker group Lapsus$. In an updated statement posted over the weekend, City of London Police said: "The City of London Police arrested a 17-year-old in Oxfordshire on Thursday on suspicion of hacking, as part of an investigation supported by the National Crime Agency's National Cyber Crime Unit. He has been charged in connection with this investigation and remains in police custody. "The teenager has been charged with two counts of breach of bail conditions and two counts of computer misuse". GTA 6 Yesterday, September 24, the adolescent appeared at Highbury Corner Youth Court, however there has been no further word on the outcome of that court appearance. Regarding Rockstar alone, On Monday, it formally acknowledged the leak. "We recently suffered a network intrusion in which an unauthorized third party illegally accessed and downloaded confidential information from our systems, including early development footage for the next Grand Theft Auto," a Twitter statement from the studio reads.  "At this time, we do not anticipate any disruption to our live game services nor any long-term effect on the development of our ongoing projects," Rockstar says, seemingly addressing concerns that a leak of this size could force the studio to scrap and redo non-trivial portions of GTA 6. Rockstar further affirms that "our work on the next Grand Theft Auto game will continue as planned."
