Apple plans to unveil new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M2 Pro and M2 Max processor options "early next year," according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. The laptops were supposed to be released this year, but there were reportedly internal delays. Other than better CPU options and faster RAM, no big changes are anticipated for the forthcoming 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. The latest 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M1 Pro and M1 Max CPUs were announced in October 2021 and included an all-new design with a notch in the display and the reintroduction of an HDMI connection, MagSafe, and an SD card reader. Macs often spend several years between revamps, so a little spec jump in 2023 makes it reasonable. The current iMac debuted in April 2021 with the M1 chip with a sleek, colorful design, and Gurman earlier stated that Apple wanted to forego launching an iMac with the M2 chip. He also stated that Apple is still seeking a new iMac Pro with Apple silicon, however, there have been internal delays. According to Gurman, Apple is also testing new Mac mini variants with M2 and M2 Pro CPU options, although no launch date has been announced.
