Gwyneth Paltrow claimed that kids can "ruin" romantic relationships

According to Gwyneth Paltrow, having kids can "ruin" romantic relationships. In an interview with singer Katy Perry for her Goop podcast, the celebrity talked candidly about having kids. However, she claimed that prior to delivering her first daughter Apple, she felt "profoundly lonely." The 50-year-old is parents to Moses, 16, and Apple, 18 with her ex-husband Chris Martin. Furthermore, after having children, Gwyneth acknowledged, relationships are never the same: "It's hard on a relationship. Like I’ve looked back now on like the data set of parents with young kids. It just… ruins the relationship. It's really hard!" Katy, 38, who has a two-year-old daughter named Daisy Dove with her fiancé Orlando Bloom, agreed with Gwyneth and said both individuals in a relationship need to give just as much as each other. "I think if both people in the relationship are willing to do the work then it's going to be so much easier," she said. "But if one person thinks they don’t have any work to do then it’s going to be really challenging." In April 2015, she made their relationship public, and they were later married in September 2018. Therefore, she is also the stepmother to Isabella, 18, and Brody, 16, two teenagers whom her husband shares with his ex-girlfriend Suzanne Bukinik.
