HANDSY couple detained for performing explicit sexual act in public

Two adults were detained by Sandusky police on suspicion of public indecency after officers claimed they performed a sex act while standing in line at Cedar Point on Friday, September 30. The pair was informed by a police officer that a witness had recorded the event on film, according to the police. The officer said, "We clearly have video of you with your hand down his pants.” But the couple denied any wrongdoing. Sandusky Police Lt. Scott Dahlgren said that the man and woman are both aged 38. The man said, "We just started dating not too long ago and are just affectionate," adding, "But we’re not doing anything wrong." While speaking to the FOX 8 I-Team, Lt. Scott Dahlgren said, "The charge will be upgraded to a misdemeanor. One, because the victims that witnessed it were under the age of 18." He added, "It did occur over near the Freak Show which is part of Cedar Point’s  HalloWeekends." The couple will be produced before court to face charges. In another incident, a couple's very adventurous outing got them into legal trouble after they were suspected of having sex while riding the Ferris wheel at Cedar Point. Both of them are now facing public obscenity charges. Witnesses reported to Sandusky police seeing a man and a woman having sex on the Giant Wheel at Ohio's Cedar Point amusement park. Two children in a gondola cart on the huge wheel just beneath the couple were among the witnesses, according to the reports. They claimed to have seen the pair expose themselves and to have felt the cart sway. On Sunday, August 14, around 10 p.m., the trip came to an end, and the Sandusky Police Department was contacted to respond. According to a police report acquired by WBNS, security personnel and a police sergeant confronted Heather Johnston, 32, of Miamisburg, Ohio, and David Davis, 32, of Ruskin, Florida, after witnesses reported seeing the two adults engaging in sexual activity in the Giant Wheel ride cart above them. They claimed to have seen the woman's bare buttocks as well as the man's genitalia.  "They also stated that they could feel the cart shaking and see both the male and female moving back and forth," the report stated. "The group said that the couple knew that they were watching and started laughing and continued their behavior," it added. Authorities also noted how a witness "was very shaken up about what she witnessed," and that the incident was "very traumatizing for her."
