A dispute over the usage of the microwave arose between the couple at 3 in the morning after they had returned to their apartment with family after the celebration the previous evening, according to the prosecution.
According to officials, the eight-months-pregnant woman pushed a dish out of Sidney's hands and he replied by pushing her against the counter. The boyfriend's uncle then intervened to separate the two.

According to the Sun-Times, which cited prosecutors, Golden is accused of stabbing Sidney in the leg with a knife before leaving the apartment after dropping the weapon. Sidney then stormed off to a bedroom.
The partner apparently had his femoral artery severed in the attack, and he passed away at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Golden was detained a little while later after she got home, unknowing that Sidney had passed away.
According to her mother Tarsha Ellis, "She didn't mean to murder anyone."
"She's devastated about it. She was unaware that stabbing someone in the leg could result in death. She was scared about damaging the baby and just wanted him to leave because he was behaving crazy. And he refused to leave," she stated.
Ellis continued, "It was absolutely poisonous with those two." "But they cherished one another. They wouldn't have a case if he could get up right now because he would never want to press charges against her.
At a bail hearing when Golden was ordered held on a $2 million bail, the prosecution claimed that the couple had previously engaged in violent acts.
Between June and September, according to the police, there were five reports of domestic violence at the flat, and in four of those, according to Golden, Sidney choked, punched, slapped, or pushed her.
When Golden cut his neck the month after, Sidney decided not to file a police report even though he needed medical attention.
Julie Koehler, the public lawyer for Golden, told the newspaper that her client had spent four days in the hospital recovering from wounds sustained in the final altercation with her lover.
The lawyer also criticised the $2 million bail order, which said that in order to be released, her client would have to deposit a $200,000 bond.
Koehler told the newspaper, "To not only compel Keshia to give birth in jail but also to take her child away right away after birth is terrible to the mother and the infant."
This cruel choice is against the law in Illinois. Keshia acted in self-defense, according to all available evidence. She only ever displayed aggression at the man who was beating her, the source continued.
