By keeping your Google Pixel Watch nearby, you can use Google's Smart Lock feature to keep your Android phone unlocked. To know how this is possible, stay with us.

How to activate Smart Lock with an Apple Watch?

You do not need your Pixel Watch to enable Smart Lock. Simply ensure that Bluetooth is enabled and linked to your Android phone.

Open the Settings app on your phone.
Scroll to the bottom and select Security & Privacy.
Scroll down to the bottom of your screen and hit More security settings.
At the top of your screen, tap Smart Lock.
If asked, enter your PIN or password.
Select Trusted devices.
Select Add trustworthy device.
Choose your Google Pixel Watch from the drop-down menu.
From the pop-up box, select Add.

Your phone will remain unlocked for four hours, or until it is no longer linked to your Pixel Watch. By selecting Lockdown from the power menu after opening it, you can also force-lock your phone. apple-watch-stress

Smart Lock usage guidelines

Keep your phone's Bluetooth connection to your Pixel Watch active to use Lock. However, you need to unlock your phone at least once (and then at least every four hours after that). Repeating the aforementioned procedures will disable Smart Lock, but if you prefer, you can also momentarily disable Bluetooth. Why doesn't Smart Lock function always?

If Smart Lock isn't functioning, your Bluetooth settings most likely need to be adjusted. Try the following steps to fix the problem. Firstly, your Android phone and Pixel Watch should both have Bluetooth disabled. Then, on both devices, turn on the Bluetooth feature. On your phone, open the Trusted devices menu and confirm that your Pixel Watch is paired.
