Prince Harry lists a startling number of people he wants to thank at the end of
Spare. The Duke of Sussex writes in the acknowledgments section at the end of his much-awaited memoir that he is "deeply humbled" by the length of the list alone.
Harry thanks "my mates in the UK who have stuck by me," his friends and coworkers who helped him remember things, the publishing and audio teams, the coaches and medical professionals, and of course, the reader. However, he neglects to mention any members of the Royal Family, including close friends Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank. But he does mention Princess Diana's siblings, Meghan, mother-in-law Doria, and his kids Archie and Lilibet
Harry, who has many famous friends, also thanked Chris Martin of Coldplay, Oprah Winfrey, James Corden of Gavin & Stacey, American actor Tyler Perry, and Argentinian actor Nacho Figueras and his wife Delfina Blaquier for their steadfast friendship and support.
However, he omitted a significant number of well-known figures he has been close friends with. Here they are -
George and Amal Clooney
Despite receiving an invitation to the Sussexes' wedding in 2018, the Clooneys allegedly didn't know the couple at the time. But a friendship started to develop in the months that followed.
Jay Z and Beyoncé
Following her shocking Oprah interview, the singer of
Single Ladies texted Meghan, according to their Netflix docuseries. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex met Beyoncé and Jay-Z at the London premiere of
The Lion King in July 2019, and were overheard talking about their children.
