How do you like to wake up? One of the default alarm sounds on your smartphone? Or maybe there's a specific music that really gets the day going? However, none of them will help you get going each day, so you're stuck snoozing the alarm for hours on end. Therefore, perhaps you require a somewhat more specialized answer. Besides, the alarm you record yourself may be the most effective way for you to wake up. Additionally, Google is introducing a new feature to the Clock app that will allow you to record your own alert sound for any alarm you want, according to XDA Developers. Thus, you can set an alarm to remind yourself to leave the house, or you can wake up to yourself screaming, "GET UP," or "STOP PLAYING PS5 AND GET IN THE CAR." Of course, you also don't have to rely solely on your own voice: The ideal alarm can be created by recording your favorite sound effect from a movie or television program as well. But it's never been very simple to set up. The procedure, highlighted by XDA, entails recording the sound in a different recorder app before adding it to the Alarms folder in your file manager app. When you select "Add new" from the "Alarm sound" and "Timer sound" tabs in the Clock app, the sound should appear if everything is done correctly. So, it is possible, but not very simple.

Steps to record your own alarm sounds on a Pixel

All you need is a Google Pixel running the stock Clock app, version 7.3. When upgraded, the "Alarm sound" and "Timer sound" pages will each have a new "Record new" option. In addition, when you tap it, the Recorder app will appear, allowing you to record anything you desire. And when you're finished, it will appear as a new sound in the "Recorded sounds" section, from which you can choose any future alarms or timers. However, this capability ought to be available on your smartphone if you have the Recorder app installed on your phone using a custom ROM.
