HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS: The 16-year-old girls were beaten with extension cables and forced to drink cleaning solutions by their mother Zaikiya Duncan, 40, and her boyfriend Jova Terrell, 27. They also burned them with bleach. According to court records obtained by KHOU, the youngster had a seizure after Duncan gave him 24 Benadryl tablets to help him go asleep. This is just one of the disturbing testimonies revealed. The report also claimed that their mother burned the skin on their genitalia with bleach after pouring it down their throats. According to court records, she allegedly forced them to drink Lysol and Easy Off if they "spoke too much." The report further stated that Duncan later reduced the dosage to 20 tablets and gave the girl an undisclosed quantity of Benadryl. The boy can see signs of an attack as well as how swollen their hands are. The kids told the corporal that they had to urinate and feces on themselves before eating and drinking it since they were not allowed to use the lavatory.Burned Kid But they went on to say that the two could only clean the area with unclean water from a mop bucket. On Tuesday, October 18, Duncan and Jova Terrell were taken into custody in Baton Rouge, and Duncan has been charged in Harris County with aggravated assault and injury to a child. He is accused of continually abusing a member of his family. The sister-brother pair also disclosed that their feet were frequently zip-tied as they were kept naked and bound to a dolly in the laundry area. The teenagers also alleged that their mother had hit them with curtain rods, extension wires, and other metal poles. The mother's boyfriend, Terrel, allegedly used to violently assault the man, according to the New York Post. Terrel, who goes by the name YBG Joker and only has 21 Facebook likes, aspires to be a rapper one day, according to the New York Post. According to Dr. Whitney Crowson, a psychologist at the Houston Children's Assessment Center, children can recover from the trauma of abuse. "Oftentimes, we think there's no way they can get through all of this, but children are so much more resilient than we give them credit for, really, what they need is ongoing and consistent support," she said.
