How McLaren uses kindle paper electronic display in Formula 1 Cars?

McLaren, best known as Formula One Constructor and the second most successful Formula One team, announced its partnership with Seamless Digital in which the MCL36  model will be upgraded to an electronic paper screen. We witnessed this idea earlier too early this year, at CES 2022, BMW’s SUV was wrapped in electronic paper from E Ink. The vehicle changed its appearance from white to black and switched its patterns and designs. However, BMW has no intention to make E Ink its official partner as BMW iX Flow was just a notion. McLaren at the United States Grand Prix updated MCL 36 cars with electronic displays on the cockpit and plans to continue it through the session. Craig Scarborough, a freelance writer who focuses mainly on Formula 1 shared some insight on the way the display system works on his Twitter handle. The electronic paper works on the car's electricity and is tested to sustain heat and vibration. It is a bit heavier than the decal but is advantageous in providing better branding chances. cropped-Lime-green-McLaren-720S-hero-image.jpg The entire race used to display a single logo earlier but now McLaren Racing can advertise many brands for different sponsors. It is pre-programmed with regular intervals, and situations and can modify depending on the way the race shapes. The sponsors for the advertisements can advertise their ads for a longer period or at the beginning of the race or show more eminently etc. The new feature has nothing to do with the car's performance but has necessarily to do with the profitability.
