As he plans to revamp the social media network, Elon Musk is considering charging Twitter users $8  per month or $96 annually for a blue tick on their accounts. Users who have been validated by the platform and have a blue tick designating them as reliable sources would have 90 days to join Blue or risk losing their check mark. Despite not explicitly responding to the news, Musk tweeted on Sunday to his more than 110 million followers that "the entire verification procedure is being revised right now." According to reports in the Guardian newspaper, there were about 400,000 verified users on Twitter as of 2021. These no. can be significantly wrong as there are no exact nos of actual blue tick account on twitter. There could be a lot of more account that may have received Blue Badge.

Still the no. of accounts with blue tick it would not make a lot of money for Elon Musk. If every account pay for blue tick and there are almost 40000 accounts are on twitter.
