How to Post a Status on Instagram Notes?

The new Notes function is located directly above your Direct Messages area, if you are having trouble finding it. According to The Verge, you will need to upgrade your Instagram app if it isn't there. To do this, click or tap the "Leave a note" button in the upper left corner of the screen, which features a plus sign. A pop-up will then ask you to create a Note after that.
