How to Record Portrait Mode Videos With a Samsung Galaxy Phone

When you hear "Portrait Mode," you might think of selfies with blurry backgrounds. If you have a Samsung Galaxy phone, you can apply the same effect to videos to give them a slightly cinematic look. In the Samsung camera app on Galaxy phones, there are a lot of different modes you can use. People don't know much about "Portrait Video," but it can make some pretty cool things happen. But it can also be quite hit or miss. Putting on a fake depth-of-field effect is much harder when the subject is moving. Portrait Mode On A Samsung Galaxy Phone To use the "Portrait Video" feature, you just need to open the camera app and tap the "More" button in the toolbar. Select "Portrait Vide" from there. Just like with Portrait Mode for photos, the subject needs to be a certain distance from the camera for this to work. With text at the top of the viewfinder, the camera app will help you do this. Once it says "Ready," you are ready to record. It's good that the effect isn't too strong. A more subtle effect makes it look more like it might have been taken with a fancy camera. This is just one more thing you can do with your Samsung camera.
