How to Swap Bands on a Pixel Watch? DIY

The Pixel Watch, Google's first smartwatch, is distinct in many ways within the Wear OS ecosystem. Its design, features, and hardware are unlike anything seen by Android users before. The method Google chose for the watch bands is one of the Pixel Watch's unique features. Similar to how Apple uses its Watch. The bands are secured to the watch case via a slide-and-click mechanism. This method secures the band to the Pixel Watch well and creates a more seamless transition between the two parts. So, how do you change the Pixel Watch's watch band? So, let's get started.

Steps to Swap Bands on a Pixel Watch

While we are currently limited in the number of fantastic Pixel Watch bands available, this is primarily due to the specialized method of connecting the bands. It's unclear whether this is because Google doesn't allow third-party manufacturers to use the connection style or because these other brands haven't had a chance to make the straps. But users will need to learn these steps to change Pixel Watch bands, and we're here to help.

Examine the side of the watch with the haptic crown while the watch is removed from your wrist.
A button is located at the edge of the band and Watch case, just below the haptic crown and microphone hole.
Hold the button down.
While still holding the button, pull the watch band towards the button.
Put the watch band that you wish to attach.
Place the large end of the band in the slot of the watch case, covering the release button.
Hold the Pixel Watch in one hand and the watch band in the other, and press the two together to activate the button.
Twist the band and the Watch in opposite directions until it clicks into place.
After you've swapped one side of your watch band, repeat the process to swap the other side.If it causes problems activating parts of your Pixel Watch while changing bands, you should turn it off first.

The overall design of Google's first attempt at its smartwatch, the Pixel Watch, is excellent. The beautiful circular design, combined with the seamless way the bands blend into the case, is stunning. Aside from what Google has done, it will be interesting to see how other brands style watches straps. Because the Pixel Watch is already one of the best Android smartwatches, personalizing it with a band that fits your style is a fabulous way to flaunt the wearable.
