How To Use Messages Feature In IOS17?

Most of the news about this version of iOS has been about its bigger features, like Standby Mode, AirDrop, and the ability to share places and check in through iOS Messages. But those aren't the only new things coming to Messages. Apple has also added a feature that Messages badly needed and that other texting apps like WhatsApp have had for a long time. It's about being quick to answer. To respond to a single message in WhatsApp, you just swipe to the right. This is a huge help when you're in a fast-paced talk or a busy group chat, for example, because it makes it clear what you're responding to. Before, you had to long-tap on a letter and then hit reply to reply. It was hard to do. Now, with the new "swipe to reply" tool, Messages has finally caught up to WhatsApp and, in my opinion, goes one step further. Before iOS 17, I liked that when I replied to a message, it started a separate thread below the original message. This made the rest of the conversation less clear and grouped the replies together. This means that, during a busy group chat, for example, you could keep your attention on the thread and see all answers to the original message in one place. It was a nice function, and now that you can quickly swipe to get to it, it works even better.

How to send a quick reply in Messages on iOS

Here's how to use iOS Messages' quick reply feature.

Swipe the right side of a message

Type your reply and send it

Just type your answer and send it, or tap the plus sign to send a photo or GIF instead. When you're done, tap anywhere on the blurry background to go back to the full chat. Continue responding in the thread
