HUAWEI HARMONYOS CONTINUES TO ATTACK ANDROID AND IOS MARKET SHARE

The company changed its attention from the Android platform to HarmonyOS after the US government imposed a ban on it. a custom operating system created by Huawei. Although many questioned the viability of the operating system, Huawei persisted in pushing forward and working hard. The company's efforts now seem to be starting to pay off.

The third spot is taken by Huawei HarmonyOS.

Prior to the introduction of HarmonyOS in 2021, Android and iOS dominated the market for mobile operating systems. It doesn't mean they don't still rule, though. These two operating systems continue to rule the market in major part. Yet, we can now state with certainty that there is a third player in the mobile OS market. The globe is becoming more and more familiar with Huawei's HarmonyOS, claims a renowned researcher. acquiring some market share from competitors like Android and iOS. The researcher who made this claim has a counterargument. It claims that HarmonyOS from Huawei is still expanding both in China and on the international market. The OS had a 0% market share even though it managed to install roughly 100 million times in its first year. The following year, HarmonyOS was successful in securing 1% of the global market for mobile operating systems. There were 320 million installs, which is a record figure. In China, Huawei Harmonyos has an 8% market share. HarmonyOS for Huawei HarmonyOS has gained another percentage point as we move from the final quarter of 2022 into the first quarter of 2023. But Huawei's mobile operating system already dominates 8% of the market in China. The business now operates a number of products, including platforms for the industrial, consumer, and smart home IoTs. "Huawei's Harmony OS has 2% of the market for smartphone operating systems worldwide. Counterpoint Research reported, "And an 8% share in China in Q4 2022, but it is nowhere near the dominance it had before the ban. But Huawei only needed two years to get this 2% share. This is an incredible accomplishment, especially in light of the company's current circumstances. This is due to the widespread adoption of Android and iOS. So, capturing even 1% will need a lot of effort, perseverance, and time on the part of any organization. It will be very difficult for HarmonyOS to rule the globe without Google services. On the other hand, HarmonyOS still has the ability to increase its market share. It can definitely hold between 5 and 8% of the worldwide market in 5 years.
