The MatePad SE has been launched to Europe by Huawei, and it can now be purchased there for less than €150. In addition to other features, the MatePad SE comes standard with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset and a 10.4-inch display that is capable of producing a resolution of 1200p. HarmonyOS 3 is also included. The MatePad SE is now available to purchase in Europe through Huawei; however, it is only available in the 10.4-inch size and not the 10.1-inch edition that was released earlier this year. The MatePad SE with a 10.4-inch display utilizes the Snapdragon 680, which is a more powerful processor than the Kirin 710A that powers the 10.1-inch model. For your information, the latter boasts an Adreno 610 graphics processing unit in addition to four ARM Cortex-A73 performance cores and four Cortex-A53 cores. It includes a display with a resolution of 2,000 by 1,200 pixels and supports 4,096 levels of pressure for use with an active stylus. The MatePad SE also comes preinstalled with Huawei's proprietary operating system, HarmonyOS 3, which utilizes Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) rather than Google Mobile Services (GMS). As a consequence of this, the MatePad SE does not offer compatibility for the native Google Play Store. Related: Huawei unveils first smartphone with satellite communication Otto is already taking orders for the MatePad SE in Germany, and the price of the tablet is €149.99 including shipping. Even if the tablet is only available with 32 gigabytes of storage when purchased through the shop at the moment, there should ultimately be versions with 64 gigabytes and possibly even 128 gigabytes. Please visit the website of Huawei for a comprehensive review of the specifications, as well as our benchmark database, to see how the Snapdragon 680 stacks up against the Kirin 710A.
