According to reports, Huawei declared that it would sell licenses for its 5G technologies to rival Oppo. The action is intended to open up a fresh revenue stream in the wake of US restrictions that adversely affected Huawei's business. One of the top patent holders for 5G technology, which is essential to the development of future technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and driverless cars, is Huawei. Global standards allow devices to communicate with 5G networks globally when a new generation of cellular technology is developed. Companies like Huawei will help to develop the industry bodies, which is what must be done. Contrary to its rivals, Huawei has not been particularly aggressive in making money off of its patents. But now, things are beginning to alter. It is a new generation of wireless technology that will make connections to mobile devices faster and more dependable.  Huawei Intends to Launch 5G Phones in the US Despite Sanctions For mobile users, who depend on their cell phones more and more for everything from work to leisure, this is crucial. Smartphones require a strong, dependable connection for a variety of tasks, including video calling and streaming. In addition, it will be helpful for industrial applications. The higher degree of connectivity that 5G will provide for anything from intricate machinery to driverless vehicles will make our lives easier. According to Forbes, Huawei is the third-largest smartphone manufacturer in the world. In 2018, the business distributed more than 200 million cell phones. It has been actively extending its reach into regions like Europe and the US outside of China, where it dominates the market. However, it has met significant obstacles in the US. The possibility of its products being used for espionage worries the US government. Considering the possibility of Chinese government espionage, US officials have repeatedly advised against using Huawei technology. Huawei Mate 50 This substantially upset Huawei's economic strategy, which depended on its capacity to build its products using US technology, particularly its cell phones. Huawei is now pursuing a different revenue stream by licensing its IP to rivals. Many applications will benefit from 5G technology. For the advancement of technologies like augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), which are expected to play a significant role in how consumers experience media, it is essential, for instance. IoT and driverless vehicles can both benefit from it. To process information and make wise decisions, each of these applications needs 5G technology. The success of these new technologies depends on Huawei's 5G technology patents. The new licensing deals are a first step towards them becoming financially viable for them, and they are in a unique position to do so. The fact that technology patents are exempt from the same export limitations as goods is one of the advantages of licensing them. In other nations, they may be made and sold lawfully. As a result of the US sanctions, Huawei will undoubtedly greatly gain from this.
