Ghostly Light Around Our Solar System Revealed by Hubble

Researchers have uncovered a startling discovery using Hubble data: a "ghostly light" around our solar system. Astronomers are attempting to identify the source of "additional" light that is still visible after accounting for light from planets, stars, and even starlight that is scattered by dust. In an experiment named SKYSURF, the researchers examined 200,000 Hubble photos in search of any extra light that might not have come from known sources. Additionally, they discovered a constant, weak glow that might point to a previously undiscovered structure in our solar system. One theory is that the solar system may be surrounded by a sphere of dust, which reflects sunlight and produces a glow. The expedition did notice a weak glow of background light when it passed through the planets of the solar system and beyond, albeit this glow wasn't as intense as the recently discovered glow.
