Ikea's record player, made in partnership with music supergroup Swedish House Mafia is set to go on sale in October.
The Swedish House Mafia is a Swedish electronic dance music trio consisting of house DJs and producers Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso.
Additionally, the group officially formed in late 2008. They immediately became the world's fastest and best-selling electronic artists and have been called 'the faces of mainstream progressive house music.'
The utterly black device sports an unsurprisingly minimalistic look and will cost you $159.99 once it hits Ikea's maze-like stores.
Also, the record player is part of Ikea's overarching Ogebegård (the Swedish word for "unlimited") collection, which comprises an equally-as-modern armchair, desk, LED work lamp, record stand, laptop stand, and shelving units, among other items.
However, Ikea first revealed the record player in June, marking the furniture maker's second attempt at creating and selling a record player.
Moreover, the record player working in 2018 never went on sale, but we have a better option of actually getting our hands on the device this time.
Although Ikea hasn't announced too much technical information about the record player, other than that USB-C powers, it is amicable with the Eneby Bluetooth speaker (albeit through a wired connection).
Meanwhile, it comes with a replaceable needle and cartridge. Also, the retailer doesn't specify an exact date for when the player goes on sale.
