A new Public Preview version of the Google Home app has been issued by Google. Among other changes, the update enables smartwatches running Wear OS 3 to show notifications with thumbnails of photos captured by Nest cameras and video doorbells.
A new trial version of the Google Home app that adds additional features for smartwatches has been released by Google. Smartwatches running Wear OS 3 will now have access to more helpful smart home camera notifications according to the most recent upgrade. Effectively, these upgrades are only available on the Pixel Watch, Galaxy Watch5, Galaxy Watch5 Pro, and a few Fossil Group smartwatches that feature Wear OS 3.

Following the upgrade, when a Nest smart home camera or video doorbell detects movement, the Google Home wristwatch app will display a notification with a still image. Google will still only allow access to the Google Home smartphone app for live video feeds, though. Additionally, Google asserts that the most recent Google Home Public Preview for smartphones has enhanced the speed with which video recordings and the camera feed may be viewed.

Additionally, the business now permits free favorite organization, although once more only within the smartphone app and not its smartwatch equivalent. Please be aware that only Nest products released in the past two years come with these new features. Google hasn't said when these brand-new Public Preview features will become stable. However, Google makes it possible for anybody to register for the Google Home Public Preview program through the mobile app. For further information, kindly refer to Google's dedicated support document.
