Since Apple and Samsung are currently the two top manufacturers of mobile devices, it's not surprising that each year, people quickly make comparisons between their respective flagship models.
Samsung's Galaxy S23 range currently competes with Apple's iPhone 14 family, however, Apple and Samsung release new phones at various periods throughout the year.
Here we compare the rumored features of the base iPhone 15 with the confirmed specs of the
Samsung Galaxy S23.
It's important to note that none of the iPhone 15 specifications listed below have been officially confirmed by Apple, but we believe we've heard enough rumors about each feature to make reasonable assumptions regarding the phone's camera, display, and processing capabilities.

Price and Availablity
On February 17, 2023, the Samsung Galaxy S23 went on sale. It has two storage options, 128GB and 256GB, with prices of $799.99, £849, and AU$1,349 and $859.99, £899, and AU$1,449, respectively.
Even though we don't yet know the iPhone 15's pricing or release date, we may make an educated assumption based on Apple's track record of reliable product introductions.
Apple normally chooses a Tuesday or Wednesday in the first or second week of September for its yearly iPhone announcements. So, this year, we expect the iPhone 15 to be unveiled on September 5, 6, or 13 and then go on sale a week or so later.

Since we anticipate the iPhone 15 to be priced similarly to the iPhone 14, a launch price of $799 / £849 / AU$1,339 appears likely. It's possible, though improbable, that the iPhone 15 might launch at roughly $899 / £959 / AU$1,579 for the 256GB model, instead.
This is because other manufacturers, including Oppo and Xiaomi, have chosen to omit 128GB storage options with their respective base 2023 flagships.
The iPhone 15 is anticipated to have the same 6.1-inch, 1170 x 2532-pixel OLED display as its sister (which has a lower 60Hz refresh rate), whereas the Samsung Galaxy S23 employs a 6.1-inch, 1080 x 2340-pixel AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Galaxy S23 will theoretically offer a greater refresh rate than the iPhone 15, although this isn't a full win given the latter appears to be using a display with a slightly higher resolution.
Design
The Samsung Galaxy S23 is 146.3 x 70.9 x 7.6mm and weighs 168g on the design front. The phone's three back cameras protrude independently rather than being combined into a single camera block, as on the Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus, and it sports a flat screen with a punch-hole camera at the top.
The S23 has a metal frame, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the back, and bezels that are as thin as you'd like to see on a high-end phone. Additionally, you receive IP68 dust and water protection, which is the current industry standard for high-end smartphones.
It's difficult to predict the weight and size of the iPhone 15, however, the iPhone 14 is somewhat larger at 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.8mm and weighs 172g (the iPhone 14 Plus weighs 203g and has dimensions of 160.8 x 78.1 x 7.8mm).
