According to reports, Apple tested the Touch ID system to see if it will work well with the program for upcoming iPhone models.  The Cupertino giant does not see any advantages in reintroducing the lost feature to the forthcoming flagship handsets. Therefore, it is possible that it won't do so anytime soon. According to a recent report by Apple Insider, some customers missed using Touch ID for fingerprint scanning, even if many users now choose to utilize Face ID due to its simplicity. Before Apple introduced a much better replacement, iPhone consumers found the vintage fingerprint recognition technology enticing. According to Mark Gurman, a well-known tech journalist for Bloomberg, the tech giant intends to bring back Touch ID. Sadly, several tests show that the feature is not prepared for a quick re-release. iPhone 15 Won't Get Touch ID The company intends to debut as an in-display Touch ID initially. This indicates that in addition to Face ID, this feature will be included in the upcoming smartphone.  However, the results were better than expected; thus, Apple abandoned this strategy. The Cupertino company also has some ideas for adding Touch ID to the iPad Air 4, namely to its power button. The tests reportedly failed once more. Therefore, there is almost no chance that Touch ID will be present on the iPhone 15. Even so, Apple might keep including this capability in the iPhone SE and similar devices. iPhone 15 Won't Get Touch ID On Sunday, October 2, Gurman stated in the "Power On" newsletter that "at this point, I believe Face ID is here to stay, and Touch ID won't be coming to flagship iPhones - at least anytime shortly." When there were speculations that Face ID would be removed in February, people thought iOS 15.4 would see a significant return of Face ID. At the time, reports claimed that since the business had previously released the most recent operating system to the market, it would no longer occur. Another Face ID update for the new smartphone series came as a result.
